Ingredients
1 lb steak cut into strips (around 2 cm wide and 4 cm long)
I use sirloin.
1 green zucchini, cut into half moons
1 medium onion, sliced
Stir fry black pepper sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce
1/2 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
Topping
Sesame seeds
Sesame oil
Instructions
Season the beef with 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, generous amounts of black pepper, pinch of salt, dash of ginger powder, dash of chili flakes, dash of garlic powder. Mix well.
Begin by stir frying the onions in a pan on high heat. Cook for around 1 - 2 minutes.
Add the zucchini and cook for an additional 2 - 3 minutes. Stir constantly.
Remove the onions and zucchini from the pan.
Add additional oil to the pan and fry the beef on a high heat. Cook until book sides are seared. This should take around 2 - 4 minutes.
Add the onion and zucchini back into the pan and mix well. Add about 1 - 2 tablespoons of the sauce mixture and incorporate. Taste and add more seasoning if desired. Cook for an additional 2 - 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and add a dash of sesame oil.
Top with sesame seeds.
Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the strength of your stove.
