Description
Pot popped pocorn
Ingredients
Popcorn Kernels
2 tablespoons oil (Grapeseed and Avocado or any high heat oil are good choices)
You can also use olive oil if you like, but reduce the heat a bit when cooking
Salt and Pepper
Medium pot with lid
Instructions
Place 2 tablespoons of oil in a medium pot.
Place
1 kernel
in the pot and turn on the heat to a medium-high.
Once the kernel has popped, the oil is ready. Remove the kernel and discard it. Remove the pot from the heat.
Add your kernels to the pot. Do not overcrowd the pot. There shouldn't be any kernels on top of each other.
Add salt and pepper if desired.
Move the pot back to the heat over a medium-high. Cover with a lid for safety made sure the kernels are all coated in oil.
Once you hear the popcorns popping, constantly shake the pot (wear oven mitts!) to make sure the kernels don't burn.
Once the kernel stops popping, remove from heat, and wait 2-3 minutes so you don't have kernels popping in your face.
Step 4. Add your kernels to the oil but do not overcrowd it.
