Pan Fried Salmon

Ingredients

  • Salmon fillet with skin on
    • Make sure to thoroughly dry the salmon
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon with salt and pepper, or with your preferred seasonings, if desired.
  2. Preheat a stainless steel pan over high heat.
  3. Add a neutral high heat oil like grapeseed or avocado oil.
  4. Add the salmon skin side down. For the first 30 seconds, press down gently on the salmon with a spatula so it doesn't curl up.
  5. Turn the heat down to medium-low and cook for an additional 6 minutes.
  6. Flip and cook for 30 seconds.
  7. Serve with fresh lemon juice or your favorite sauce! I like to use a honey soy sauce glaze.
