5 - 6 slices of bacon (or pancetta), chopped roughly. This is optional.

Instructions
Begin by washing and cleaning your brussel sprouts. I like to chop off the stem and cut them in half. Discard any leaves that are wilted.
Adding bacon or other cured meats like pancetta is optional but is a great complement to the brussel sprouts.
In a large baking sheet, add the brussel sprouts and meat. Add around 1 tablespoon of oilive oil and 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well.
Cook in an oven at 400°F for 40 minutes. After 10 minutes in the oven, toss the brussel sprouts (especially if you have added bacon - this will help coat the brussel sprouts more evenly and make it crispier). Toss again at 30 minutes or as necessary.
